I’m a men’s specialist, offering therapy for men ages 15+ in New Jersey & New York

Mental health issues manifest differently in men than in women. Maybe you're dealing with anxiety, struggling with relationship issues, or feeling uncertain about the future.

For many men, expressing these feelings is difficult. We minimize or don’t recognize our own emotional pain or for others they’ve been taught to “go it alone,” leaving unresolved stress, isolation, and self-doubt.

Men Come To Me When They’re Wrestling With:

  • “Why can’t I just handle this on my own?”

  • “I shouldn’t feel this anxious, but I can’t shake it.”

  • “Opening up about my struggles feels uncomfortable.”

  • “If I’m not the strong one, who am I?”

  • “I’m drinking too much.”

You don’t have to “fix it” alone, no matter how complicated or uncomfortable.

My Therapy Helps With:

  • “Failure to Launch”

  • Work Stress

  • Financial Pressures

  • Family or Relationship Conflict

  • Adult or Childhood Bullying

  • Major Life Changes

  • Career Transitions

  • Fatherhood

  • Feeling like “...Now What?”

  • Drinking and drug use

"The Best Time to Start Therapy is Now"

My approach to men’s therapy is systematic and action based. Working together usually looks like:

  1. Understanding Your StrugglesYou’ll start by gaining insight into why certain issues feel so persistent and painful. Together, we explore how personal history, family expectations, and/or societal pressures have shaped your experiences.

  2. Building a ToolkitI use a unique approach that is practical, that gives you the tools in a clear and concise way to get going asap. Using CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques, we help you create a toolkit of coping strategies that address what’s going on in your life.

  3. Steady ProgressEach step in therapy is designed to help you feel comfortable and better equipped to take on your challenge(s).

The Therapeutic Techniques I Use

I tap a range of evidence-based therapies specifically suited to men’s mental health needs- blending Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help men develop practical strategies, build emotional resilience, and “get unstuck.”

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to feelings of stress, anxiety, or self-doubt. Together, we’ll work on noticing and reframing negative thoughts, allowing you to see situations from a more balanced perspective. With CBT, you’ll gain practical tools to manage life’s challenges by transforming how you think about and respond to stressors.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT provides essential skills to help you manage intense emotions and improve emotional regulation. This approach is especially helpful if you find that strong feelings sometimes overwhelm you or affect your relationships. Through DBT, we focus on building distress tolerance, enhancing emotional awareness, and developing effective interpersonal skills, allowing you to handle difficult moments with greater control and resilience

Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT)

Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps you stay present, manage stress, and approach your emotions with acceptance. By incorporating mindfulness techniques into therapy, you’ll learn to observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment, allowing you to respond rather than react. MBT is particularly useful for reducing anxiety, grounding yourself in the present, and finding calm amidst life’s pressures. Over time, mindfulness practices can help you cultivate a stronger, more resilient mindset and experience a greater sense of peace.
